Synopsis
“Manos Hadjidakis is not only remembered as the Oscar winner for the best music score in 1960 but also for rejecting it. A controversial personality who was the first to bring to light the traditional underground music of Rembetika and create songs and sounds that deeply influenced Greek music and art throughout the second half of the 20thcentury, Hadjidakis is also remembered as a free thinker with great impact on contemporary Greek culture.
