The opening of the exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the birth of George Hadjinikos took place with great success. A large number of musicians, representatives of the local community, as well as many friends of the foundation and former students of George Hadjinikos were present.
After the greetings of the artist Nina Kapsali, who curated the exhibition, Nikos Adraskelas, general secretary of the foundation, and Nikos Hadjinikos, son of George Hadjinikos, the lecture of the distinguished musicologist Costas Tsougras followed, entitled “Concept and origins of musical interpretation”: Basic principles of George Hadjinikos’ interpretive approach”, as well as the recital of selected repertoire by pianist Fanis Karagianni, for years a student of George Hadjinikos.
We would like to thank Nina Kapsali, Costas Tsougras and Fani Karagiannis for their wonderful contribution to last night’s event, Nikos Adraskelas for all he has contributed to the Foundation over the years, the local institutions that continue to support our activities, and all the volunteers and friends whose valuable contribution makes the realization of the event possible.
The exhibition will remain open until the end of September and, in between, there will be tribute concerts to the teacher’s work by students and close associates.

    Stay tuned!
