Love and nature are two subjects that inspired the Arts throughout the centuries. Some of the most famous and familiar pieces of classical music exalt the human experience shaped by Love and the connection with Nature. In ‘Song of Love and Nature’, the voice in partnership with the piano explore all the aspects of love under the watchful eye of mother nature. The chosen repertoire is exemplifying a vast selection of art songs, opera arias & piano pieces by important composers of late baroque, classical, romantic, late romantic eras.

The mythical water nymph Rusalka along with Countess Almaviva are reflecting on the fleeting nature of love while ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ partners in dance at the ‘Wedding day at Troldhaugen’. Queen Cleopatra laments lost love in the company of Servilia. Richard Strauss composes songs for his temperamental soprano of a – yet beloved – wife while Alban Berg dedicates to his wife to be his ‘Sieben fruhe Lieder’. Gabriel Fauré gazes at the moon in the good company of Claude Debussy, whereas Charles Gounod with his eternal Julliette extols the joy of being young, alive, in love!
