What does a moving body remember, imagine, or dream? Join us for an evocative performance born from the one week seminar “Poetry of Movement”—a workshop devoted to rediscovering physical presence, creativity, and expressive vitality, particularly in mature age. We will rediscover through movement and dance the subtle echos of meaning of world reknown poets such as Nikos Kazantzakis, Mahmoud Darwish, Khalil Gibran, Maya Angelou, the simplicity and deep philosophy of Haiku poetry of Yosa Buson, Tan Taigi, Akiko Yosano, Matsuo Basho.
This culminating performance is not a spectacle of virtuosity, but a celebration of authenticity, imagination, and embodied storytelling.
Through a series of improvised scores and crafted physical scenes, Poetry of Movement explores themes of aging, resilience, joy, and the quiet power of presence. Each body on stage brings its own rhythm, its own story, and its own poetic truth—offering a moving tribute to lived experience.
