Join Sanja Krsmanović Tasić for a Dance/Theatre Seminar exploring safety in uncertainty. This intensive offers experienced actors, dancers, students, and open participants a journey into devised performance amid Horto, Pilion’s wild nature, Greece.
Event Details
Dates span June 28th to July 5th, 2026, with arrivals on June 27th. Located 50 km from Volos, daily 5-7 hour workshops at George Hadjinikos Hall allow time for Horto’s beaches and Pelion’s landscapes. The seminar ends with a performance at Horto Theatre as part of the Horto Festival.
Program Focus
Challenge perceptions of wilderness as danger, discovering safety through attention, shared risk, and imagination. Build physical vocabulary via warm-ups, then create scores from inner stories, edited into scenes. Draws on Eastern European lab theatre, Grotowski, Barba, Biomechanics, Yoshi Oida, Carolyn Carlson, martial arts, and Sanja’s 40 years of innovation—including creative writing, rhythm, music, site-specific work.
Practical Information
Bring comfortable movement clothes, socks/soft shoes indoors, sneakers/hiking shoes outdoors, a towel/shawl, and inspiring song/music. Price: 200 euros per person (tuition + welcome dinner). Meals via affordable tavernas or self-catering apartments; shops in Horto and Milina (3 km).

About the Seminars and Leader
Art of Devising seminars target skill-building through physical/vocal scores, montage dramaturgy, and “dance of the soul.” This intensive suits those ready for boundaries; a gentler 50+ version exists separately. Sanja Krsmanović Tasić, director/choreographer/pedagogue, created “ecology of the soul” methodology. Trained by Odin Teatret, Peter Brook associates, Grotowski actors, and others; leads DAH Teatar, Hleb Teatar, festivals, and global projects.
