Στο προηγούμενο αγγλικό κείμενο είχα βάλει “The Song of the Earth” και στο ελληνικό είχες γράψει «Το τραγούδι της Γης». Αξίζει να διορθωθούν και τα δύο.

Synopsis
Deep in the heart of the Norwegian countryside, in the picturesque valley of Oldedalen, cycles of time, life and nature are inextricably intertwined. Over the course of a full year, the director follows her 85-year-old father as he walks, perhaps for the last time, the paths shaped by generations of his ancestors. It is a journey of family memory and, at the same time, an ode to the majestic beauty of nature, which must be protected in every possible way.
About the film
Much more than a simple environmental documentary, Songs of Earth by the award-winning filmmaker Margreth Olin is a dreamlike journey through Norway’s breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and a cinematic essay on the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature.
Norway’s submission for the 2024 Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, with Liv Ullmann and Wim Wenders as executive producers and the London Symphony Orchestra performing its gripping soundtrack, Songs of Earthis a deeply personal film and, at the same time, a cinematic experience that must be lived on the big screen.
Director’s statement
In my film, Oldedalen is my father, and my father is Oldedalen. The calm spring is his childhood, the sweetness of summer his youth, the storms of autumn his mature life, and the silence of winter his old age. I wanted to tell a story of hope. In the end, my father plants a seed next to the tree his grandfather planted 130 years ago. Life goes on.
